The World Health Organization has declared Mpox outbreak in Africa a Public Health Emergency of International Concern, with cases reported in over 40 countries since January 2024. Travelers are advised to avoid close contact with symptomatic individuals, practice safer-sex measures, and consider vaccination if at high risk, as Mpox is primarily transmitted through direct contact with infected persons, animals, or contaminated bushmeat.
