We recommend booking 4-6 weeks before departure. Several vaccines require multiple doses over a series of weeks, and some need time to take effect before exposure. However, travelers with less lead time should still come in, we can prioritize the most important protections and maximize what’s possible within your timeline.
How should I prepare for my appointment?
Bring your travel itinerary or passport with destination stamps, your current vaccination records, and a list of medications you’re taking. The more detail you can provide about your trip, specific countries, activities, rural vs. urban travel, length of stay, the more precisely we can tailor your travel health assessment.
Do you accept insurance?
Travel vaccines are typically not covered by insurance as they are preventive for international travel. We accept all major credit cards and HSA/FSA payment. I'm an ASU Polytechnic student heading abroad, what do I need for my program?
Study abroad programs typically have their own vaccination and health documentation requirements in addition to destination country requirements. We’re familiar with university health submission processes and can help you satisfy both sets of requirements. Bring your program’s health requirements form and we’ll work through it with you at your appointment.
I travel to Mexico frequently for business, do I still need a travel clinic visit?
Regular travel to Mexico, especially to cities, resorts, or business districts, may feel routine, but destination-specific risks are real even in popular business destinations. Hepatitis A and typhoid are relevant for travelers who eat local food, and traveler’s diarrhea can sideline even experienced Mexico travelers. A quick consultation ensures you’re current and gives you standby treatment options if needed.
